The Luxury Intensifier is a special District that each city can only have one copy of, and must be placed on a Luxury Resource deposit. The Luxury Resource deposit may or may not already have a Resource Extractor built on it, but it is more efficient to place the Luxury Intensifier on a deposit that does not have an extractor since it will function as one.

Because the Luxury Intensifier cannot be demolished, it is important to consider its placement carefully. It should ideally be placed on a tier 3 Luxury Deposit, as those resources are the most rare, while also located somewhere it can be easily upgraded to level 2 or 3 to take advantage of the significant Dust boost. As such, it is advised to wait until Era IV, when all resource deposits are revealed, to make a decision about where to place it.
