Fungal Blooms are a construction exclusive to the Mykara as a result of their "Creeping Presence" Affinity. As a result of this trait, the Mykara are only allowed a single city and are unable to produce settlers, much like the Cultists. However, also like the Cultists, the Mykara are able to expand across the map by another means, in this case growing Fungal Blooms on Points of Interest, which include Temple and Unspoiled Ruins, Minor Faction Villages, Watchtower Foundations, and Resource Deposits. So long as a Point of Interest has been revealed on the map and is in a region not controlled by another Empire, the Mykara can begin constructing a Fungal Bloom there.
Fungal Blooms take a few turns to be completed, and during that time they consume Food from the main city, the amount of which grows as more Fungal Blooms are built. Once the Fungal Bloom is finished, it gives the FIDSI output of the tile it's on back to the main city, provides some vision over the surrounding area, and a special bonus depending on the type of bloom it is. Additionally, each new completed Fungal Bloom increases the Luxury Resource Booster cost and Empire Plan Influence cost by 2%.
If another Empire takes over a region where a Fungal Bloom has been placed, then the existing blooms will remain in place and any under construction will be completed, but you will be unable to create any more in that region. Additionally, so long as the Fungal Blooms remain in place, you will still gain the benefits of having them. However, it is possible for the armies of other Empires to destroy Fungal Blooms in a similar way to Pillaging - by dealing Fortification Damage to the bloom until it is destroyed.

Rather than using Industry to be built, Fungal Blooms consume some Food from the main city while they are growing. The amount of Food taken by each Fungal Bloom increases based on both the number of other blooms that are progressing, as well as the number of blooms that have been completed. The Food cost to build a Fungal Bloom given a certain number of progressing and completed blooms, represented as X and Y respectively, is as follows:
So, the cost of the first Fungal Bloom is 5 per , and the cost of the second Fungal Bloom is 7 per if you start building it while the first is still progressing, or 6 per if you start it after the first bloom is finished. It should also be noted that this cost updates each turn as other Fungal Blooms are completed, so if you begin building the second bloom while the first is still progressing, but then the first bloom is completed, the cost of the second bloom will reduce from 7 to 6 per . Therefore, the total cost to the Main City's Food production given X progressing blooms and Y completed blooms is as follows:

During a Dust Eclipse, the Mykara are able to use Dust to buyout Fungal Bloom production. The cost to do this is dependent upon the number of completed Fungal Blooms, as well as the number of turns remaining for that bloom to be completed, with the equation being as follows:

Fungal Bloom Regen[]
All Mykara Units have the unique Capacity "Fungal Bloom Regen", which grants +2% Health Regen per Fungal Bloom. However, it should be noted that this bonus only includes Fungal Blooms that are under construction, not those that have been completed, so having 50 completed Fungal Blooms and none under construction will not give any kind of Health Regen bonus to Mykara units.
